What Is Cryptocurrency?

Cryptocurrency is a digital currency in which encryption techniques are used to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds, operating independently of a central bank.  

English please?  It’s a form of currency that is completely digital and developed from data mining.  

Why is it used?  It’s use is for those who want to make secure online transactions.  Some would also say that it leaves little trace too. Cryptocurrency also allows for storage in a digital wallet or offline for security.

Is there a future?  It’s hard to tell with all the advancements and regulations.  An example is the Bitcoin, many have had success but others have landed themselves into trouble.  To be on the safe side, have a discussion with your lawyer and a financial advisor to see what advice they can offer for future investments or estate planning.
