"Seeking Justice for the Voiceless”
Why Law
Hannah’s journey into law was sparked by a curiosity to decipher the complexities of our legal systems, investigating their origins and whom they serve. She is driven by a mission to empower those facing adversity, advocating for justice, and ensuring every voice is acknowledged.
The Ideal Client and Case
Hannah most enjoys working with clients who are transparent about their circumstances and determined to find a resolution. The cases that resonate most with her are those involving glaring injustices, where she can provide knowledge, access to agency, and a clear path toward safety and justice for her clients.
Passion for the Profession
Hannah finds the most fulfilling aspect of her work as an attorney to be empowering clients through education, standing by them during conflicts, and building rich relationships with fellow legal professionals. Hannah’s lawyering style balances reason with a readiness to fiercely defend her clients in the courtroom.
Beyond the Courtroom
Outside of legal work, Hannah thrives in peaceful moments at home with her pets, enjoying old movies or literature. She also enjoys socializing with friends at happy hours and adventure trips out west with her dogs and partner.
Unique Perspective
Hannah takes pride in being the inaugural student to complete a joint JD/MA in Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies at George Washington University Law School. Her practice is deeply influenced by feminist, queer, and critical race theories, bringing a unique perspective to the legal realm that challenges traditional norms and advocates for inclusive justice.
Professional Affiliations and Roles
Hannah’s practice is strongly supported by her engagement with various professional organizations that have shaped her path. She has been an active member of several esteemed associations, including the Chicago Bar Association (CBA), serving in the CBA Family Law Section and the Young Lawyers Division. She is also involved with the Colorado LGBT Bar Association, the Women's Bar Association, and the D.C. Bar Association. She dedicates her time to the Denver Rescue Mission Young Professionals and contributes to the CBA Access for Justice Committee, focusing on addressing systemic issues within our legal systems.
